As predicted the former
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the millionaire Donald J. Trump won March
1st Super Tuesday elections from Alaska to Georgia. Ted Cruz won
Texas, Oklahoma and Alaska, Marco Rubio
won Minnesota. Bernie Sanders won Oklahoma and Vermont.
Both Democratic and Republican
voters went to the polls in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia,
Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont and Virginia. In
addition, Alaska Republicans and American Samoa Democrats went also to the
polls.
Super Tuesday is the first
day in the primary cycle where the presidential campaign heads nationwide with
multiple states voting on the same day.
According to experts, the Republican Party, known as
the GOP, the Party of Lincoln, the Party of Reagan, the Party typically for the
white conservatives, will meltdown if nominates Trump. He could wreak the GOP traditional
base. If he becomes President, Trump could break apart the entire country.
Many Americans, even republicans, believe that Trump
appeals to people’s prejudices. Some people say that Trump doesn’t have a clue of what he is
saying or doing. If Trump wins the nomination the feeling for republican
opponents of Trump’s bigotry attitude, would be the sadness of not voting at
all or vote for other alternative.
When Trump claimed victory in Nevada for getting there
a 46% of the Hispanic vote, almost no one indicated the votes could have not
come from first generation of Hispanic Americans, but from Hispanics already
melted in the American society. From those who are ashamed for being individuals
of Hispanic descend. From those who do not want to associated with undocumented
immigrants for having a Spanish surname. From those who feel that their Latino
blood have been diluted with the blood of those who think like Donald J. Trump.
The GOP also is believed that it has a big decision to
make, nominate an outsider, a non-politician and not presidential candidate or
nominate for President for the first time a non-white candidate. I am talking about
the senators Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz. If any of these Cuban Americans win the
nomination, the GOP will be making history in nominating a Hispanic American to
the White House.
But if the GOP goes for Trump, he and Hillary Clinton
edge toward collision for General Election in November unless more candidates
can enter race as primary season is well underway.
