WHEREABOUTS OF MARLEN
A community search party headed by Pastora Julie Contreras
has been called for Sunday May 5th the due date for Marlen to give birth. After Prayer they will comb the area where Marlen
Ochoa-Uriostegui (maiden name) Marlen Lopez was said to be seen. Marlen disappeared on Tuesday, April 23rd,
after leaving Latino Youth Alternative High School. A missing person report has
been made to the police but there has been no word from her. Marlen is a
Latina, 19 years old with brown hair and brown eyes, who sometimes wears a
small nose ring. She was wearing a gray sweater, sweatpants and a maroon top
with a Latino Youth High School logo on it. She may have been driving a black
Honda 2002 Civic, plate AW27865
Marlen is 9 months pregnant; Due date May 5th… her husband,
family, school-mates and friends are deeply concerned. “My daughter is being held against her will
and she doesn’t have any money, so they may want the baby. Her due date is
Sunday May 5th and I pray that she doesn’t give birth yet, because if she is
still carrying the baby, there is still hope that she will return alive”…Raquel
Uriostegui (mother)
Those with information can call 911 or the special victim’s
unit, 312/747-8274. Recent arrest and
raids by I.C.E. in the Latino communities make information gathering for
criminal cases a challenge. Therefore a second hot line number is offered to
those who may have information: please call Lincoln United Methodist Church
773/847-7282. More details will be
available at
the conference. The family will be present at the press conference
District Police have been invited.
