Muslim Ban is Beyond Disheartened

 

The Supreme Court’s decision this week allows Trump’s racist Muslim Ban to stand. This represents  another shameful mark on our history. Make no mistake: this case will join the disgraceful line of cases where the High Court turned its back on our values, like Dred Scott (endorsed slavery) and Korematsu (upheld Japanese American imprisonment)

 

This heartless and xenophobic executive order now has the Court’s permission to continue tearing families apart and throwing lives into despair. Not only that, but it sends a clear message to Muslims and refugees that they are not welcomed in this country.

 

Regardless of what the Supreme Court says, this ban is a clear violation of this country’s values. The Muslim Ban is not only anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim, it goes against everything our country should stand for.
