EDITORIAL: Meet the real Trump

By Armando García
Editor and founder of the magazine Nuestra América

Well, the months of tension are over, the trial against Donald Trump is gone. Everything seems to be calm, but the reality is that he was impeached by the House of Representatives, but acquitted by the Senate, thanks to the support of corrupted Republican senators, sellouts to the president.
Those who believe that the truth of the facts is discovered only by legislative votes, may be like the president, since the votes are right to what a majority thinks. That is what impeachment has left us with a lesson. But what a minority or majority thinks, is very far from the truth.
Trump did not learn the lesson of the Senate trial, now he is in re-election campaign claiming victory and throwing dirt to his opponents and enemies, as revenge against what they did to him. But the votes at the polls seek only the will of the people, but the facts only seek the truth.
But for those who made Trump win, he is the hero. Trump thinks he has the truth because he won. But what that majority says could be due to ignorance or convenience. Trump won because his party is a majority in the Senate. President Trump will never change. This man is a vulgar, has wasted our decency. He is a ruin a low character individual occupying the White House. Senator Mitt Romney says the right thing by saying that Trump abused his power assaulting electoral rights and affecting the security of the nation and its fundamental values.
In addition, the attempt to corrupt an election to keep him in office violates the sacred oath that placed him on the throne of power.
He is believed to be a divine power or the chosen one, thus deceiving the people of faith, making everyone believe that he will only save those who agree with him. And those who don't, punish them, insult them, humiliate them, invade them, and even kill them.
